Tie it all up

Many people regardless where there are in their education carriers have a hard time researching a certain topic. The hardest thing about researching on a topic is trying to figure out where to start and how to go on about your research. For example when you are doing a research for a certain class they don’t give you words or phrases to search for they tend to give you long and complicated sentences that are impossible to search for. That’s not the case for all research though the reason for that is because when you have something very long to search about it will make it easier on you if you break things apart. Taking that one long sentence and breaking it up in to words or phrases will bring up many different sites that might help you on your topic. Also just by entering a single word could make a difference too because since it’s really broad it will give you many different options. If you don’t want that then you can shorten the topic so that you can get specific searches. I found this class very helpful because I learned things that I was unfamiliar with before I came to class.  WE spent most of our time talking about plagiarism and I was very confused about what plagiarism was and how I could keep myself from making that mistake. It helped me understand that everything you read on the internet is not true regardless how true it might look. This class also helped me understand that even though most things are found on the internet I can still look through books to find things that I am looking for.

Books vs internet

“Since everything I need is on the internet I don’t need books.” When I hear that the only thing that comes to my mind is how people can be corrupted by technology that they can’t go back to where it all started. What I mean by that is when we were younger we used to be obsessed over books we use to go crazy waiting for a new series to come out. Since everything that we need is on the internet we feel as though we don’t need books. Part of that could be because most of us don’t have the time to go to the library go through a list of books and find the information that we need. The internet makes that very easy for us because everything that we need is at the tip of our fingers. If we need a certain information then it’s there with in sec. So therefore many people find that very convenient and easy because we don’t have to spend hours and hours looking through a book to find something. As great as that sounds that could be bad too because the internet has became a place for anyone to crate anything they please. Many websites that you think seem and look so true aren’t the information that they give you are made up and it’s not a reliable source.  Also it’s hard to know which website is true or not because they make it so that you won’t know what true or not. So therefore going through books might not be the most convenient way to go but you are guaranteed that the information is correct.
